I took a vacation day today.

 

Not because I needed a vacation.  Not because I felt like playing hookie either.  I took a vacation day today because I was told that "they" were coming to fix the area under my house that needs fixing, that it would be a "major project" and that they needed access to the house.

 

"They" were supposed to be here two hours ago.

 

So, I've cleaned the house, checked out a few things online, double-checked my blog for hit-and-run spam ads in my shout box and now here I sit.

 

No, I don't have a number I can call.  The landlord's number is at work and I have NO idea who the name of the company is that is supposed to be doing this work.  I supposed I should be upset that I am burning up a vacation day for nothing, but truth be told, it's kind of nice.

 

Yes.......here I sit.  Anyone got a Mai-Tai?
